Private Mobile Office (PMO) provides a complete, packaged, private GSM network solution for use within an office, warehouse or campus area to support communications between workers. PMO extends or replaces the current PBX infrastructure, or can offer an effective alternative to Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT) and Private Mobile Radio (PMR) installations.

| Enabling cost effective on-site GSM networks |
|
Standard GSM mobile phone handsets are used to connect users together on a secure, private network without incurring any mobile phone call charges. Voice quality is high, as expected, on an industry standard-based GSM network, and support for SMS and GPRS is available.
Key Benefits
- Reduces costs, uses single standard mobile device for all communications.
- Flexible deployment model – integrate with existing infrastructure or as a stand-alone replacement for a traditional PBX.
- Flexibility and mobility for employees

How it works
Using one or more base stations strategically placed to ensure full network coverage, PMO registered mobile handsets are able to communicate with each other in a localised GSM ‘island’. Through an additional connection to a local PBX infrastructure or a PSTN gateway, the handsets can also communicate with internal PBX extensions and the outside world. The mobile handset automatically transitions from the macro mobile network to office network when in range.
Pre-packaged 25 and 50 mobile user solutions are available.
